For those that cannot read that it says, "Studying Japanese." I've gotten extremely rusty over the years. I was never 100% fluent in the least bit, nor was I close to it. I could have a conversation, but not a full detailed conversation. Luckily, I still remember the basics. The only thing is whenever I'm talking to my Mr. Handsome and if he doesn't know how to translate something in English he'll began his dialogue in Japanese and I that's when I become lost as to what he's saying....
In the beginning, learning Japanese was fairly easy. At least pronouncing the words it was for me. However, the deeper I delved into the language I soon discovered it's not as easy as it seems. Why? The kanji. Reading something in Japanese and stumbling across a kanji gives my head a terrible ache. There are some that I can easily recognize and if hiragana happens to come after the kanji word, I can sometimes guess what the word is. However, it still helps to understand what the kanji is and means.
Eh? ごめんなさいわかりません... @o@ |
Either way, I'm going to attempt to study more, because I really want to improve!
Sorry for such a short entry! Next one will be longer, haha.
Hahaha I actually understood the first three characters because they're the same in Mandarin. :-)
ReplyDeleteAh, really? :) Well Japanese kanji was burrowed from Mandarin/Chinese, so I can see how you did understand!
