Do You Have Goals - May 2016

It's about that time again everyone! The monthly goal status of what I've been doing. This month of May has been something, but not much on the front of my writing. Well, I suppose I have a bit done since I have close to 18k word count. I will work on it some more today because my editor will be emailing me soon and I would like to at least have half of the story completed by that time, lol.

On other news, I haven't really been reading much. I feel like I need a calendar to place all of my to-do list on. Maybe that way I can feel a bit more organized to do what I need to do. It sucks when you have so much to do and you're disorganized/procrastinator.

I've been saying for a while now that I will update this with a newer list of things I want to accomplish this year, and I have yet to do it. So, I will do that now! Below are added new things for my goals of 2016.

  • Pay my credit card off in full
  • Start a vlog on Youtube or mini videos on Instagram (I just have to work up the courage to do it)
  • Start reading more realistic fiction
  • New phone
  • Get back into my saving habit
That's all I can think of for now, lol. Eventually I'll add more on the list. Also, I must add that I haven't responded back to any of the past few comments that have been left on my blog posts. I will respond back to everyone this weekend for sure! Sorry for the delay.

Besides any of that, I really want to push myself when it comes to my novel and stop doing what I have been doing.

I hope everyone else have been accomplishing their goals for this month! See you next month~

  1. Hello Mori. Some months are better than others writing wise. I am thankful with whatever i get done. Turns out I did quite well in May. Let's hope it continues and I actually get something finished soon!

    1. Hello Denise! I can agree with you 100% on that. There are times when writing seems much easier and the words flow at a much faster pace. I'm glad that you got a lot of done for your goals in May! It will continue to progress that way! :)

  2. Good luck with your goals. It was brave to talk about paying off debt and saving online. More people should do that with the economy we live in, but I've never had that kind of courage. And it's so important when you think of how little writers are paid.

    1. I didn't think much about talking about my credit card until you mentioned it, lol. It's not really as bad. Nothing at all like 10k, 20k or even 3k, lol But it's something that I am working on. :) Hopefully things will change sometime in the future and writers will be paid a bit more than what they could be currently.

Thank you for commenting, Beth! :)

  3. Those are all good goals. I like the idea of a vlog, although I don't have the courage for it either.

    All the best for June!

    1. I really would love to do a vlog, but the more I thought about it I realized that it wouldn't be such a good idea. The reason I say this is because I rarely update my blog, so I can only imagine how updating a vlog would be, haha. Maybe blogging is the route I should stick too, lol.

Anyways, thanks! All the best for you as well. :) I'll have to check out your goals for this month.

  4. Each month is different, but 18k words is nothing to sneer at. I don't think I have written this much. Keep going.

    1. You're right, Olga! I am happy at the progress that I am making. Currently I have 23k and going to attempt to make it to 30k by the end of this week sometime, lol...hopefully.

  6. Hope you manage to pay off your credit card soon. The vlog sounds an interesting venture - I confess I wouldn't have a clue how to start one! Along with your other goals, don't forget to keep writing.

    1. I know that I will, but it most likely wouldn't be until next year sometime...but it will happen nonetheless, lol. As much as I want to do the vlog, I probably wouldn't really do it because I wouldn't be able to update it when I should. However, I will continue to write and push forward with that goal, along with my other ones.

      Thanks for commenting, Ruth!

  7. Good luck with those goals. Sounds like you need to come in to a bit of cash for most of it. Hope the "green" comes your way!
