Superstitious or...?

Do you believe in the power of jinx? The ability to speak something out into the universe and have it attack and alter everything you wanted to happen?

Ever since I was a child, I believe in jinx. For example, last year I applied for a TV show in Japan. This reality show was only for Americans that had interest in Japan. I was excited because it became my opportunity to travel to Japan and experience the culture, something I’ve wanted to do for years. It was my intention of keeping it to myself, because I felt if I told someone, the producers would have not picked me (silly, I know, but it's true lol). I kept it to myself for a good few days (possibly weeks), until I could no longer hold it and I managed to tell four people.

4.      Another friend that lives in Japan

I managed to make it through two interview rounds with the person doing the interviews. However, I didn’t make it to the final process and I felt as though if I never told anyone, my chances would have been better (or this could be the paranoia within me, haha.)

This happens quite often. Therefore, whenever I feel like something good may happen, I try my hardest not to talk about it with others or even give it much thought. Keyword: TRY

Jinx can be a silly notion to others, or it can be a subconscious feeling to some. People say, whatever is going to happen, happens, regardless if it’s good or bad. Word cursing (like spells, not cursing as bad words, lol) can be a superstition, but I still believe in it.
