Time sure does fly, doesn't it? We're already on the last Friday of January. Since my last update there have been a few changes, but nothing too extreme. We'll start from the bottom to the most recent news. Since I completed HELL HOUNDS, I've decided to focus on ATTICUS considering most of my attention on the previous has left (due to writer's block.)
The most I've been doing on ATTICUS is working on the character profiles, which is what I tend to do whenever working on a new project. I'm writing everything in my notebook instead of typing it because I'm loving the therapeutic feeling of writing. Once I finish with everything and start working on the actual chapters, I'll probably be looking for beta readers (I already know of one person for sure that I'll be sending it to look over.)
I'm going to be taking ATTICUS one step at a time, and hoping for a miracle when it comes to searching for an agent when that time comes. Of course, this is my goal for 2017: landing an agent. Every month, I'll be sure to update everyone with my progress. :)
Onto other news, I'm an intern for a new publisher called, Filles Vertes Publishing, LLC. I'm a Street Team intern and Editorial intern. I'm very excited about this opportunity, mostly about the editorial aspect. I haven't started that part of the interning yet, mostly the Street Team, which is basically the promotional side.
Onto other news, I'm officially a Co-Host for this blog hop that is run by Misha Gerrick and alongside me as a new co-host is, Jen Garret. Be sure to check out their blogs! See you next month!
My update will be done on Monday since unexpected issues made me not post today. Congrats on working forward with writing and your internship Britt. I love that no matter what you just keep on trucking. Much love! :)
ReplyDeleteThank you very much for the support you've given me throughout the years, Sheena! :) Much appreciated. I look forward to your update!
DeleteCongratulations on the internship, and good luck with the querying.
ReplyDeleteI love to write by hand too. I tend to always be working on two projects at once; one on computer, and one in notebooks. I also find the break from the screen therapeutic.
Thank you, Angeline! I'm very excited for this opportunity.
DeleteWriting by hand is the best, especially when using a really good pen. The way it feels to have the ink dance across the paper is just a very good feeling!
Well done for landing an internship. And glad you're co-hosting the blog-hop too. Also glad to hear you're making some progress with Atticus. Yes, writing things down on paper can be immensely therapeutic and rewarding. Keep going. Best wishes for February.
ReplyDeleteThank you, Ruth! :) I'm glad to be co-hosting as well. It will give me the opportunity to meet different bloggers! :)
DeleteHi Brittney,
ReplyDeleteSo fun being a cohost with you. I had my post prescheduled, so I got scooped, ha ha.
Hi, Jen!
DeleteIt is fun being a co-host! I'm going to have to remember to frequent the other bloggers blogs to interact more. :) Haha, really?
Thanks for commenting, Jen!
Congrats on the internship!
ReplyDeleteI also love writing by hand, so I always use pen and paper when rough drafting. :-)
Thank you, Misha!
DeleteYeah, it just feels so much better that way, at least to me. :)
Cool stuff! I look forward to reading your goals every month and seeing life get better and better.
