Update + New Teaching Job

I haven't updated my blog since last Friday. For that, I deeply apologize. I just wanted to give a brief update on what's been going on this past week. Mostly, I've been trying to study and work on notes for my novel.

As you may or may not know, I never completed NaNoWriMo, unfortunately. However, that hasn't stopped me from working on the book. Recently, I watched an interview of Marie Lu (the author of the Legend series) and she said something that lifted my spirits. Basically, never to give up and keep trying no matter what. Also, don't be afraid to write "crappy" stories in the beginning. XD

I really agree with her statement, because my first completed novel was awful! I completed it with 91,000+ words. That story is buried deep beneath the ground, never to be seen again >_< So, I'm going to continue working hard! It's my goal to become the next J.K Rowling. When I say this, it doesn't mean that I'm writing books about wizards. It mostly means that I hope to become a successful writer like her someday~

Now for the BIG news. I am teaching English to Japanese students online! It is my part-time job and I'm very excited! It's a Monday to Friday job for the students in Japan, but Sunday to Thursday for me due to the time difference. I'll be sure to blog how my first lesson went (which starts tomorrow)

Now I'm off to continue working on my novel. Until next time~

Random GIF of Taeyang's leg giving out on him. Haha!

PS: I forgot to mention that I uploaded my first anime review on Youtube. Feel free to subscribe, comment and like the video if you enjoyed it. The review is on the movie Wolf Children. Please click this to watch the video and share if you'd like! (Watch in HD)

  1. Read, rated and commented on your youtube review. I didn't finish Nano either and I'm glad you're still moving forward. Congrats on the teaching job and I wish you all the best. I myself want to be able to write and sustain myself with it as a full-time career.

  2. Oh yeah, all first drafts suck. In fact, I've written about... six and they all suck. It's in editing that the real improvement comes.

Good luck with the teaching job!
